Real Estate Rebel October Newsletter

Posted by    |   October 29th, 2014   |   No Comments

Once again I wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to all of you who bought and sold with me in September and October. I know it seems like I say this every month, but I truly am lucky to have such a job that I love where I get to work with amazing people like you on a daily basis!

Im not sure if you’ve noticed lately, but traffic has been terrible!  It’s not just at rush hour anymore, it’s all the time. This tells me one thing…real estate is going to be just fine. Why you may ask?  All of these people need to live somewhere. There has always been a great debate around real estate prices in Vancouver ever since the incline started around 2005. Discussing the market is almost as popular as discussing the weather in Vancouver. I have had many conversations over the past 9 years about the doom and gloom of an ‘inevitable’ crash but it’s never scared me off from buying. Last week the market received some great news about 2015. The Urban Land Institute and Price Waterhouse Cooper published their annual report titled Emerging Real Estate Trends 2015. In this report it describes Vancouver’s market as one of the country’s “best bets” in 2015, fourth strongest in the country in terms of investment, development and housing. It predicts that the overall real estate market in Canada will continue to be steady but in hot markets like Vancouver,  there is likely to be more upward trends on prices. There you have it. If you have been patiently waiting for the market to come down before you jump in don’t wait any longer. We can find the right place for you just give me a call.

Neighbourhood of the Month

mapleRidge

Last month I started showcasing neighbourhoods in the Lower Mainland.  This month I will cover Maple Ridge.

A Little About Maple Ridge

There are 12 main areas of the city; Albion, Cottonwood, East Central, Northeast, North Maple Ridge, Northwest Maple Ridge, Silver Valley, Southwest Maple Ridge, Thornhill, Websters Corner, West Central and Whoannock. Maple Ridge boasts one of the most diverse natural settings, with the Fraser River to the south, the Golden Ears Mountain to the north and a series of rivers and parks that allows citizens to escape to nature within minutes of their home.

The population of Maple Ridge is approximately 76,000, and this area has been identified as one of the high growth areas of the Metro Vancouver Region.

Homes start around $350,000 and for $400,000 you can buy a great family home. If you have been considering buying a home consider Maple Ridge as your next hometown. We can meet to discuss your needs and look for the right home for you. I consider it a fantastic place to buy.
